The Linn Cove Viaduct is not a hike, but merely a marvel as the Blue Ridge Parkway hugs Grandfather Mountain and traverses some of Western North Carolina’s most rugged terrain. Located in between Blowing Rock and Newland along the Blue Ridge Parkway, you will not want to miss this sight. It sits at 4,100 feet above sea level and was one of the last pieces built to complete the roadway. You can stop just before and walk along the side of the road to get a picture of it in its full glory.
